Obsidier Tower is a new landmark in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt, located about 45 km east of Cairo. The tower is a unique addition to the skyline of the city, with its striking design and impressive height of 385 meters.
The tower is named after obsidian, a volcanic glass that is known for its strength and durability. The inspiration for the design of the tower comes from the natural formation of obsidian, which is formed when lava cools rapidly.
The tower is designed by the renowned architecture firm, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), and is being developed by the Egyptian real estate developer, Al Ahly Sabbour. The tower is expected to be completed by 2022 and will be the tallest building in Africa.
The Obsidier Tower will be a mixed-use development, with commercial, residential, and hotel spaces. The tower will have 120 floors, with the lower floors dedicated to retail and commercial spaces, while the upper floors will have luxury apartments and a hotel.
The tower will also have a sky deck on the top floor, which will offer panoramic views of the city. The sky deck will be accessible to the public and will be a major tourist attraction in the city.
